Ridgely's Delight, Baltimore

Parking Survey

Last summer, the Ridgely's Delight Association published a survey to determine whether residents would like to change the parking rules that are currently in place. The majority of those who responded indicated that they wish to change the rules to allow two-hour parking for anyone during the day and permit or guest pass only at night. The RDA plans to move forward with the process for asking the City to consider this new restriction.

Residents who wish to change the parking rules are asked to complete the survey to indicate what time they would like the permit-only hours to be in effect. This survey will be open until the February community meeting and can be done online or in person at the community meeting. Only one survey per residence will be counted.

Next steps

  • At the close of the survey, the RDA will send a formal request to the City to change Ridgely's Delight's parking areas to permit-only at night during the chosen time.
  • The RDA must then start a petition drive that will require 60% of all 450+ households in the neighborhood to sign for it to pass. If you do not support a change to the current parking system, do not sign that petition. If you do support the change, sign the petition.
  • If the petition gathers enough verified signatures, then it will go to our city council member, Eric Costello, and to a few other approval stops before it can be implemented.

Effect of Rule Changes on Stadium Events

Please note that there will be no change to the rules in effect during stadium events, which include Orioles and Ravens games. As always, vehicles that do not display a parking permit or guest pass during stadium events will be ticketed and/or towed.
