January community meeting
Join us for our monthly community meeting on Wednesday, January 3 at 7:00 pm upstairs at Pickles Pub.
Our guest speaker will be Dawod Thomas, a passionate advocate for youth empowerment. He is the founder of My Father’s Plan, a non-profit organization that works with youth to pick up the litter on our neighborhood’s streets. Come and hear Dawod's inspiring story and learn about My Father's Plan's initiatives.

Christmas tree collection
Baltimore DPW will pick up your Christmas tree during the month of January. Set the tree out on your regular Wednesday trash collection day. Place trees at the same location where your trash is collected, and make sure the tree is free of ornaments and tinsel.
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Parade
The city’s annual MLK parade will be on Monday, January 15. It will step off at noon from the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Eutaw Street and proceed down the boulevard to Lombard Street. The grand marshal of the 2024 parade will be Ernestine Shepherd, 87, who in 2010 and 2011 was recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records as the oldest competitive female bodybuilder in the world.
Downtown Discovery Days
Between Tuesday, January 2, and Friday, January 12, several of Baltimore’s most popular attractions offer deals and discounts on admission, giving families, residents and visitors the opportunity to visit museums and attractions at an affordable price.

Inner Harbor ice rink
The rink at the Inner Harbor will remain open daily until Monday, January 15. Admission is $15 for adults and includes a skate rental.
January recycling dates
Recycling is collected in our neighborhood on a bi-weekly schedule. Our pickup days for this month will be:

- Friday, January 26
Street sweeping
The scheduled street sweeping dates in January are:
