Annual neighborhood egg hunt

The RDA will once again host the annual Egg Hunt in the Tot Lot at Melvin and Penn St. This will be held on Easter Sunday (April 5th). All children who frequent the tot lot are invited to participate with an adult. Gates will open at 9:55 am for kids under 4 years old; at 10 am for kids 4-6; and at 10:05 am for seven years and above. Show up a few minutes early and wait for the gates to open. Bring your own basket. We will have an infant section for the littlest participants. If your kid just wants to sit in the grass and find a few easy ones, this section is for them.
Ridgely’s happy hour for April
Spring is finally here, and it’s time to get together with your neighbors! Join the us on Friday, April 3rd, at Section 771 starting at 5:30 pm. Mayor’s spring clean-up
The Baltimore City Mayor’s Spring Clean Up day is April 25 from 9 am to 1 pm. Please take a look on your block and collect any loose trash, rake old leaves, pick up branches & twigs, etc. Also, please consider cleaning your front entryway — marble steps look great after they’ve been scrubbed! If you need tools or leaf bags from the neighborhood shed, please text Julia Dumont at (407)717-5900. DPW will pick up bags on the corner of Washington Blvd and Martin Luther King. 311 requests should be made if you have a lot of debris and need the city to make an extra pickup.

Maryland Film Festival
The Parkway Theatre serves as the primary hub for the 2026 Maryland Film Festival, which runs from April 8–12. It’s known for showcasing bold, independent works from both local and international filmmakers. This year’s festival includes:
- CineTech Experiences: Check out interactive AI-driven installations like “The Mirror’s Echo,” which turns voices into claymation-style projections.
- Interactive Cinema: The festival is hosting a 10th-anniversary screening of “Late Shift,” where the audience votes collectively on the movie’s plot decisions.
- Vertical Films: Look for the “Tall Stories” showcase, which features films shot entirely in 9:16 vertical format specifically for social media storytelling.
