Ridgely’s Record

Special community meeting

The Ridgely’s Delight Association invites all community members to a special meeting on Wednesday, Dec. 3, 7 pm (upstairs at Section 771) to discuss BGE’s proposal to install fencing around the green space near the substation at Pratt and Russell Streets.

This is your opportunity to:

  • Voice your concerns
  • Share ideas for alternative solutions

Representatives from BGE will be present to listen and respond to community feedback.

Community dumpster

The city will be dropping off a community dumpster on Portland Street on Saturday, December 6, from approximately 9 to 11 am. Stop by to dispose of unwanted household items and help clean up some of the debris that accumulates on our streets. Please note the different location this time!

Just a friendly reminder: Please keep commercial waste, appliances (like microwaves and air conditioners), and building materials out of the dumpster. Following these guidelines ensures we can continue to receive community dumpsters from the city.

Leaf Cleanup

Now is the time to remove the fallen leaves from our streets and sidewalks!  Please note that street sweepers cannot handle large volumes of leaves, so areas with heavy leaf coverage need to be raked and bagged. The neighborhood association has rakes that can be borrowed and free leaf bags. The city will collect up to 5 leaf bags with the garbage or 311 requests can be made for additional pick ups.  Please join a group effort on Saturday, December 6th at the neighborhood shed on Burgundy Street at 9 am. Or text Julia Dumont at (407) 717-5900 for help with tools/bags on any other day.
