October community meeting
This month’s community meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, October 1, at 7 pm. We will meet upstairs at Section 771 (504 Washington Blvd.). Jazmin Kimble, Southern District Planner, will be there to present details about a package of zoning reform bills and to answer questions from the community.
The Ridgely’s Delight Association represents our entire neighborhood, and everyone is welcome!

The nominations committee has announced a slate for the 2026 Ridgely’s Delight Association board of directors. There will be a vote at the November meeting.

Neighborhood happy hour
Join us this month on Friday, October 3, at Wico Street Beer Co., located at 1100 Wicomico St. in Pigtown. Come share a drink with your neighbors and maybe stay for Wico’s First Friday Karaoke, which starts at 7 pm. Everyone is welcome! Hope to see you there.
Conway Park renovations have begun
Site preparation has begun on the section of the park north of Conway Street (the North Plaza). The construction is scheduled be finished in December.
During this time, the North Plaza will be inaccessible to residents. Expect some construction traffic along Conway Street during the days while construction is active. Community safety walks
Join your neighbors for a safety walk through the neighborhood most Monday nights. It’s a fun way to meet new people, get some exercise, and help keep our community safe.To learn when and where the walks take place, or to add yourself to the mailing list, email safety@ridgelysdelight.org.
Join the Great Pumpkin Scavenger Hunt!
Get ready for some Halloween fun, Ridgely's Delight! The neighborhood is once again hosting a Pumpkin Scavenger Hunt for both kids and adults on Friday, October 31. As you're out trick-or-treating, keep your eyes peeled for special numbered and lettered pumpkins hidden throughout the neighborhood.
Kids who decode the secret Halloween message will get a special bag of treats. And this year, adults can join the fun too! The first 20 households to complete the hunt will snag a prize from the adult grab bag. To get started, just pick up your scavenger hunt materials at the tot lot on Halloween night, from 4:30 to 5:30 pm.
We’re also looking for volunteers to decorate a pumpkin with a special letter and number. If you can help, please email Suclay62@gmail.com. Once you're signed up, you’ll be assigned a letter and number on or before October 29. If you would like to participate but aren’t able to source your own pumpkin or have any additional questions, please reach out to Suclay62@gmail.com
You can join us for a pumpkin preparation gathering at the Babe Ruth Museum patio on Wednesday, October 29, from 5:30 to 7:30 pm. It’s a great chance to mix with other decorators and get your pumpkin ready for the big day! Some art supplies will be available, but feel free to bring your own to share.
Street sweeping
Don’t forget to move your car on street sweeping days to allow DPW’s equipment to clean the entire block. This month, the scheduled dates will be:
- Odd sides of the street — October 15
- Even sides of the street — October 22
