Ridgely’s Record
No August community meeting
There is no community meeting scheduled for this month. Our next meeting will be held on the first Wednesday of September.
National Night Out Picnic in the Park
The National Night Out is an annual event taking place this year on Tuesday, August 5, from 6 – 9 pm, in Conway Park.
National Night Out encourages people to get outside to meet their neighbors and interact with police and fire fighters. The event is meant to strengthen neighborhood spirit and build partnerships in an informal setting.
Bring the roommates, the kids or just yourself and enjoy an evening of socializing. Fire trucks are always a big hit with the kids. The Ridgely’s Delight Association will be providing hot dogs, burgers and veggie burger options and we ask neighbors to bring a side dish or dessert to share. BYOB. It’s always a good time.
A limited number of free Orioles tickets for a neighborhood night at the ballpark will be available for Ridgely’s residents. One per person, while the supply lasts.
Dogs are ok, but must be kept on a leash. If your furry friend has a people or food obsession, it might be best to leave them home. If you have questions, please email sharon@reuter.net
Time to renew your parking permit
The current virtual permits assigned to your vehicle(s) are set to expire on August 31. Please be on the lookout for an email from the Parking Authority with information on how to renew for Sept. 2025—Aug. 2026. If you are new to the neighborhood, please call 443-573-2800 or visit pabc.myparkinginfo.com to apply for your Area 5 permits.
Plant it forward: Conway Park Plant Swap
Got plant babies or cuttings to share? Join us at Conway Park on Sunday, August 24th, from 9 to 11 am for a neighborhood plant swap—bring a plant, take a plant, and grow your green thumb! Learn how to propagate and multiply your favorite plants with tips from online resources like YouTube and Google. If you’re planning to attend or have questions, email creativecooperativecity@gmail.com
Ridgely’s Delight Summer Soirée
Mark your calendars for the Ridgely’s Delight Summer Soirée, held this year on Sunday, September 21, from 2 to 5 pm at Mystique Barrel Brewing and Lager House. This first annual gathering is an opportunity to meet or catch up with old and new neighbors alike, celebrating in a way in which we hope honors previous gala organizer Bobby Goodfellow’s vision of community and connectedness.
Tickets for this event are available now for $30 per person and include a vegetarian-friendly tapas menu, as well as a guest speaker. Drinks will be available for purchase at the bar. Additionally, our silent auction will feature exclusive experiences and unique products, all to support our community. If you have a skill or item you want to share or donate for the auction, contact Lindsay Chudzik at lindsayachudzik@gmail.com. Profits from ticket sales support the annual operations of the Ridgely’s Delight Association, including future gatherings and neighborhood improvement projects. We hope to connect with you there!
Volunteer at the Pigtown Festival
Mark your calendars! One of the area’s most anticipated events, the 22nd annual Pigtown Festival, complete with its legendary ‘running of the pigs,’ is happening Saturday, September 27th! If you have some time and want to be part of this unforgettable day, sign up to volunteer. It’s a fantastic opportunity to connect with neighbors, make new friends, and directly contribute to the vibrancy of our community.
