October 2022 Board Meeting

Confirmed quorum

Minutes from prior meeting approved - Bill moved, Paul second - all in favor, no one opposed.

Holiday party - date expected by November,   Pot luck items - (health inspector issues)….potential dessert pot luck.

Checks - to be ordered - address tbd —-

Mulch Day - camp small last weekend in October/first weekend in November 4 yards for approximately $100, $50 per hour for delivery (approximately $100).   Well within budget - 

Election - weather permitting in tot lot and runners to accommodate those who are joining from afar.   Potentially do an all in favor if there is no opposition.   Rain spot would be pickles.   Runners to be assumed  to provide for opposition should there be any and a real vote will be needed.

New business:

Hybrid meetings - fundraiser some money - David running for vp of operations - portable and battery powered - cost $1,000 and $1,500 durable tbd.   To include as proposed in the 2023 budget.

President — thanks to everybody — made his transition to the board easy transition.

Short meeting - applying for new liquor license on Pratt - potentially present at next neighborhood meeting - looking for support from neighborhood - she needs to be on record for telling us.

Meeting location - cdc guidelines have eased up especially for group settings - looking to move meetings inside but also keep hybrid so it is inclusive.

Grant cycle - sbgp - potentially apply for funds for the mural -on mlk overpass and Russell where old Grand Prix mural is.   Paul expressed potentially historical discussion on Washington Blvd. and mlk, was peripheral - Bobby said if he believed that would garner support and was interested in leading he’d happily pass along
