Desiree from Phylicia Porter’s office
Desiree is a new member of Phylicia Porter’s office and will be providing more coverage at neighborhood meetings. Upcoming town hall 2nd and 3rd weeks in November. Distributed District 10 contact cards. The office can also help follow up on 311 requests. She is covering 14 neighborhoods. -
Khadeem Grant, Southwest Gateway Partnership
Provided update on Conway Street Park. Breaking ground on project next week. There is contact information on the notice board in the park, and also Bill Reuter has contact information. Completion planned for late November/early December.Paul Rubenson expressed concern about modern benches/design considering historic nature of neighborhood. Khadeem communicated that fixtures were approved by CHAP and will send current plans to President to share with committee.

Speaker: Robbyn Lewis, District 46 Delegate to State Legislature
Spoke about state districting, including District 46, and our representatives in the House of Representatives and Senate.
40 neighborhoods in District 46 around Baltimore Harbor.
Encouraged advocacy – to communicate what is important to you to your representatives.
State legislature will be in session from January to April. Follow legislators on social media. You can also visit Annapolis.
Public Comments
Halloween Scavenger Hunt and Pumpkin Carving – no updates but on track for end of month.
Mayor’s Cleanup on October 25, 2025. Tools and yard waste bags will be made available.
Neighborhood Security (“Cop”) Walk on Mondays at 7:30 PM, meet in front of Maia T.’s house.
Happy Hour is Friday at 5 PM at Wico Street Brewery. Karaoke at 7 PM.
Navi Singh raised issue of BGE Fence Proposal letter – does not like design of proposed fence. Several attendees agreed. President to send BGE a letter stating that we do not want a fence, rather we would like BGE to clean/maintain the area twice per week. (Julia Lebherz proposed letter, Dana Coyne seconded – letter was approved).
