  1. Quorum is 8, attendance is 24  - meeting has quorum.

  2. Conflict of Interest Statement  - Nicole Dungee 

  3. Baltimore PD – Sargeant Rivera and Officer Washington
    Provided crime update.  4 larcenies in neighborhood in past four weeks (does include package theft).  If we experience package theft, they do want it reported to the police and they would like video coverage, if available.
    Never leave items in your car.
    Police guard intersection to keep squeegee boys away.  We can also ask for additional assistance, if they return.  President has email address of Sargeant.
    Babe Ruth Museum says there is a lot of drugs being used on the benches by the museum.  Discussion about ongoing activity at 645 Washington Blvd.

  4. Phylicia Porter
    BGE will be fencing areas around the substation on corner of Pratt and Greene Streets per City instruction.  Fencing will be basic wire fencing sufficient to control the area.  Longer term plans to be made for the area. 
    City is insisting that BGE control this area, and they will be fined if they don’t follow through or maintain it.
    Paul Rubenson suggested looking at code for what was required for current construction  from ~40 years ago.  There may be some requirements for look and appearance in line with historical district.

  5. Community Garden
    Councilwoman’s office is helping the Community Garden group to get permission to use the selected area for a community garden.  This is also BGE property.
    Sandy Anderson has offered to put a garden-themed mural on the wall behind where the community garden will be.
    Cleanup of area to be organized.

  6. Maintenance Committee
    Community Dumpster to be provided on September 13th – see bulletin for guidelines. 
    Community has a tool shed with a selection of garden tools that can be used by individuals in the community upon request.

  7. Public Announcements
    BPD Entertainment District – President getting more information – including communities adjacent to the stadium may be part of a later phase.
    Many road closures this coming weekend – September 6-7
    Board nominations will be made at October meeting.  Voting by community members to happen at November meeting. 

  8. Soiree Update – Bill Reuter
    Tickets are on sale until just prior to the event, but no sales at the door.  Seeking donations for silent auction. This is our main fundraiser – which funds National Night Out and other activities.

  9. Halloween
    Traditional pumpkin hunt event to be expanded to include adults.  Cost of $200.  Motion to fund this event (Paul), motion seconded (Maia).  All approved, none opposed.
