The Great Pumpkin Halloween Scavenger Hunt

Our neighborhood’s streets
Friday, October 31, 2025 - 4:00pm to 7:00pm

Ridgely’s Delight is once again hosting a Pumpkin Scavenger Hunt for neighborhood children and ADULTS. While children are trick or treating in the neighborhood the evening of Halloween, they will also be able to search for numbered and lettered pumpkins throughout the neighborhood to decode a secret Halloween message. Upon decoding the message, each child who participates will be able to claim a special bag of Halloween treats. This year, we are allowing ADULTS to participate as well. The first 20 households to complete the hunt will snag a prize from the adult grab bag. Pumpkin scavenger hunt materials for children and ADULTS will be available for pick up in the tot lot on Friday, October 31, from 4:30 to 5:30 pm.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

We are currently looking for volunteers to decorate a pumpkin (with a number and a letter) to be placed out on the front stoop no later than 4 pm on Friday, October 31.  For those interested in volunteering to decorate a pumpkin, please email Suclay62@gmail.com. Once an accurate head count of volunteers is known, volunteers will receive an email that will assign a number and letter to be included on the decorated pumpkin. If you would like to participate but aren’t able to source your own pumpkin or have any additional questions, please reach out to Suclay62@gmail.com and we will coordinate accordingly.

PUMPKIN PREPARATION

On Wednesday, October 29, from 5:30 to 7:30 pm, we will be hosting a pumpkin preparation gathering on the patio of the Babe Ruth Museum. Mix and mingle with other pumpkin decorators and get your pumpkin ready for the Scavenger Hunt. There will be some art supplies available, but please feel free to bring your own supplies to share with other pumpkin decorators, and thank you, Babe Ruth Museum, for graciously hosting.
