Ridgely's Record
October 2005

Community Meeting on October 5
There will be a community meeting in Wed. Oct. 5th at 7pm upstairs at Camden Pub. Please forward any agenda items to president@ridgelysdelight.org.

Dover/Fremont Lot Development Update
Construction is scheduled to begin this month on 7 new homes at "Ridgely's Corner" (Dover/Fremont)-3 level homes, with garage parking for 2 cars. We anticipate that surrounding neighbors may face some parking and noise during construction, scheduled to end June 2006. Hopefully there will be minimal inconvenience.

First Friday Happy Hour
This month's first Friday happy hour will be at Camden Pub on Pratt St., October 7th. Folks begin to arrive at 6:30pm. See you there!

Stay Alert!
With a rash of car break-ins and 2 armed muggings in recent months we are now at code orange as far as the threat level goes. It's up to all of us to stay alert-don't leave ANYTHING in your vehicles and if you see anything fishy, dial 911. Another way to help is by joining the Citizens on Patrol and supporting Ridgely's crime-fighting efforts. Call Brian at 410-752-8746 or just stop and ask a COP during a walk on a Sunday or Monday night for info.

Traffic Alert!-October, aka Charity Race Month
Take note that there are events that will adversely affect traffic in our area on the following mornings: Sat., Oct. 1 Race for the Cure (www.komenmed.org); Sat. Oct. 15, Baltimore Marathon (www.thebaltimoremarathon.com); Sat. Oct. 22 Walk for Diabetes (www.diabetes.org/walk). If you can't beat 'em, join 'em! Sign up today!

Operation Lighthouse
Now that it's fall and getting dark earlier, we have an ideal setting for those wishing to harm residents and their property. Each night, please make the effort to turn on the front lights of our homes and leave them on until morning. Let's light up the neighborhood, making it safer and more pleasant looking.

Game Night at the Pooch
Game night returns to Ridgely's. Join the fun Sun. Oct. 9th, 5pm at Cappoochino Café. Board game for the evening? It's a surprise!

Fall Clean-up

All hands on Deck!

We are currently seeking matching funds Home Depot. Please contact Mark James at 410-316-2264 if can volunteer to help install the fence. Details on install dates and tasks TBD. Yeah, Mark, for getting us the grant!
