Ridgley’s Holds their Annual Picnic to Push Safety
On Tuesday, August 2nd, at 6:30 PM, the neighborhood will again participate in the National Night Out for Safety by holding a potluck picnic in Conway Park.  We will be joined by members of the Baltimore City Police Department. This is a chance to meet new neighbors, enjoy great food, have fun and learn about living safely in the City.  If you haven’t already signed up, call Debbie at 410-837-0228 or Brian at 410-752-8746 and let them know what food you will be bringing. Also let Brian or Debbie know if you can bring a grill, a table or chairs.

City Smart Safety Tip—Preventing Auto Break-in’s
When you leave your car, leave it EMPTY! The downtown Safety Coalition wants to remind you that leaving valuables in your vehicle is leaving an open invitation for a thief to remove them. Whether you park on the street or in a garage, take a few moments before you lock up and make sure you remove all valuables or anything that would attract a second glance.  Also, make sure you replace your cigarette lighters and auxiliary power covers as this is a sign to thieves that electronic equipment may be inside.

Notice Regarding Eislen/Fremont Dumpster
The dumpster on the corner of Eislen and S. Fremont is for residents of the apartment building only. This dumpster is not for community use. Please do not throw trash or bulk items in that dumpster.

New Trees Need Water
You may have noticed that the city replaced dead trees in many sidewalk grates. If one of the new trees is located outside your house, please throw a bucket of water on it from time to time this steamy summer. August can be very dry and small trees need more water than mature trees. Thanks in advance for helping these trees make it through the dog days of summer!
