2017 Parking Permit and Pass Renewal

Online registration is available for 2017 permits and guest passes on Saturday, 20 May 2017. Read the information below to learn about key dates and requirements. Then go to the City's parking page to register and pay for your new permit and pass.

The following information is for parking permit and visitor's pass renewals only. If you have not purchased these items in the past, you must do so at the Parking Authority office. Visit our parking page for information on the requirements.

Current Area 5 (Ridgely's Delight) permits expire June 30

If you do not have a new permit or pass on your car as of July 1, you will be subject to a ticket.

Pricing
Permits are $20 each (limit 4 vehicle permits per legal household). Visitors passes are $20 each (limit 1 per legal household). Payment can be made online in advance with debit or credit cards or payment can be made at the Parking Authority office with all major credit cards or checks or money orders made out to "Director of Finance."  Note that cash is NOT accepted at the Parking Authority office.

Required Documents
The minimum documentation requirements for picking up permits at the RPP office or the neighborhood pickup are:

1) Current Maryland Vehicle Registration with your RPP Area address on it (unless you have a Maryland registration and are a full time student with a current Student ID)

2) One of the following documents that provides proof of residency:

  • current lease signed by all parties that is not month to month; month-to-month leases require residents to come to the PABC office each month to renew their permit
  • proof of home ownership (settlement papers)
  • active driver’s license that reflects your current address
  • utility bill in your name, reflecting current address, that is no less than 30 days old

3) Any Photo ID

There are additional documentation requirements if your vehicle is registered out of state or in someone else's name. Please check those requirements on our parking page.

You must bring the same proof of residency documents to the neighborhood pick-up that you would take to the Parking Authority office. The receipt/confirmation for online payment does not replace residency documents. We are a community and many of us are familiar with each other, so they may not always be requested at time of pick-up, but please come prepared anyway. The incidence of fraud at the neighborhood pickup is near zero, and the few we've encountered have been grossly obvious, especially when they are asked to produce residency documents. Please bring the required information so we can keep it that way.

Registration Dates
You can renew online for the 2017-2018 permit cycle beginning Saturday, 20 May 2017.  Orders placed online prior to that date will be deemed by the RPP to be for our prior permit cycle.  The direct link for placing orders online is https://pabc.thepermitstore.com/purchase.php.

You must pay for your permits/passes online by 5 p.m. on June 9 to ensure that your items are available for the neighborhood pick-up.

If you have technical isues with the parking website, call the Parking Authority at 410-573-2800.

Permit Pick-up Dates
Parking Authority Office: June 10 to June 30

To save time at the Parking Authority office, place your order online prior to going. You will need to present your proof of residency documents regardless of whether you register online or at the Parking Authority office.

The office will be open one weeknight and one Saturday during the renewal period. Extended office hours will be available until 8 p.m. on June 29 and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 17, 2014.

Neighborhood Pick-up: June 14

The neighborhood pickup will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. upstairs at Sliders. You must pay for your permits/passes online by 5 p.m. on June 9 to ensure that your items are available for the neighborhood pick-up. Order early so that in the off chance there is a glitch, you can resolve it by the deadline.

You can begin using your new sticker and guest pass as soon as you receive it. Be sure to remove the expired sticker from your windshield to avoid a ticket.
